Installing Operating System in USB and Booting from it.....

Installing any Linux Variant in USB

Linux is the best-known and most-used open source operating system. As an operating system, Linux is software that sits underneath all of the other software on a computer, receiving requests from those programs and relaying these requests to the computer's hardware.

Everyone wants to use Linux other than Windows but the problem is Dual Booting in which you have Both Linux and Windows or Linux and Linux  operating system installed in a single PC.

For those who don't prefer Dual Booting can install there OS such as Linux in USB and can boot from it where needed.

Booting from USB gives us portability and  in-dependency from  Machine i.e, we can boot it  anywhere.

Method of Installing Linux in USB. (Here I am using Tails for example)

Software needed----

------------------------------------------------------

Universal USB Installer 

Tails i386-2.4  (1.09 GB)

------------------------------------------------------

Steps-:

Download and open Universal USB Installer.

Click on I agree.

Select Tails from the Distribution Drop Down List.

 

Browse the Tails ISO File you have downloaded .

Select the Flash Drive and click on create.

Follow the instruction there you will see the progress of installation.

After it is done.

Turn off your PC and boot from USB Flash Drive.

(To Boot from USB Flash Drive continuously press F12 and choose you Flash Drive)

Now a screen will appear.. Choose Tails and press Enter.

 

 

Now you will boot into Tails OS a Linux Variant.
